They should search this oil rig area more, not in the strait of Malakka.

As far as I've read, only the Vietnamese have just looked there once briefly.

But the oil-rig-guy said that it was about 70 km away from him, so the plane might have flown further still.

And the waters there are becoming quite deep in the direction of the Spratly Islands ...

I give up on this.

They'll probably never find it, or they are just covering stuff up because they don't want to admit what happened.

Hopefully it's the plane finally and not this:

Also, my "young co-pilot sex-theory" is now becoming slightly more likely if the plane is found between Australia and Antarctica:

Hopefully it is the plane, but to "rescue" it or what is left of it will be really hard: The area is really remote, with almost no islands in the area. The depth of the water there is between 1000 and 5000 meters and the weather is bad as well. The waves are 3-6 meters high at the moment, which means rescuing the flight recorder won't be easy either.

Also, the satellite data is already 4 days old and the debris could now already be more than 100km away from where the satellite found it.

And, they need to be quick: In 18 days, the battery of the flight recorder is running out and then they'll likely never find it.

Yepp, the southern Indian Ocean is probably one of the worst areas for a plane to disappear.

And if the currents are strong, it could be that the flight recorder is hundreds of kilometers away from where the debris is ...

If it is the same "thing" like in the previous satellite image, then this thing is now another 240 km away from where the Chinese satellite has spotted it.

The original thing was found on March 16, this one on March 18 - but 120 km away from the original location. Now we have March 22.

BTW, don't spy satellites have a much better resolution than this sh*tty image quality ?

Info chart:

The US is doing surprisingly little, considering their massive fleet and aircraft arsenal.

It seems they found some wooden pallets and some strapping belts/seat belts yesterday/today.

But of course this could also apply to pallets from cargo ships that were thrown overboard ...

Plus new images from French satellites (didn't find the images yet on the internet).

The Aussies are now in the process of recovering some objects in the waters that they spotted from an aircraft ...

The airline also confirmed that the plane had some wood pallets in their cargo bay. Those pallets were spotted as well by planes (but could be from a ship too).

Satellite images show over 100 possible pieces of debris, but none of them have yet been recovered by any of the ships in the area:

A Thai satellite company spots 300 objects about 200km away from where the French satellite spot 120 objects (the Thai data is from March 24, the French from March 23):

If the currents are so strong that the objects are moving 100-200km a day, then the flight recorder could be a few thousands kilometers away somewhere on the ground ...

Good if it's really the blackbox ...

But there have been many disappointments so far.

I've already made the same speculation a few days after the plane disappeared ...

Nothing new really.
