Just noticed that this year more than 2 billion people will vote in major elections, because voters in many of the World's most populous countries are voting:

* India (815 Mio.)
* EU (395 Mio.)
* USA (200 Mio.)
* Indonesia (185 Mio.)
* Brazil (145 Mio.)

And various others in smaller countries.

Plus: I've read somewhere that turnout in all of India was around 2/3, which would mean a total of 540 out of 815 Mio. have voted.
