Changed his mind! Trump now wants a second stimulus deal

He should attempt to force it through by executive order. Let his enemies challenge it in court, and let the courts try to enforce any injunction.

This would be both the morally right and the politically convenient thing to do; a rare overlap.

edit: I don't think he'll do this, because Stephen Moore, a horrible moron, has his ear for some reason.

Like I said earlier, he should do as much as he can via executive order. But barring that, he (or his team) wants to be the one to get credit for bringing Congress to the table and to do it as close to Election Day as possible. Nothing if not a showman.

If the Democrats obstruct his "change of heart" for political purposes, they wind up looking like the bad guys. (When really the Club for Growth types and Stephen Moore were probably the biggest obstacle all along.)
