Anyway I haven't bothered to read the whole thread as I didn't have time and was too lazy, but is the gist of it that some people are disturbed that we can do nothing to reduce the fascistic nature of the american government?  Of course you can't, fellows, you're nobodies, democracy is a farce, and the State is controlled by the owning class.  I think if it really bothers you a spree is the only way to make any kind of statement.  Not that I'm recommending that, of course, just saying IF.  You have to admit there have been a lot of sprees lately, and they do seem to be increasing in frequency over time..

This is why to people who look outside "the system" think "they are all the same" - They are the same because the window of public opinion is very narrow and is based on a bunch of cultural niches which are often put into people at a very young age, via parenting and the Education system. Most people accept these views, some - for no apparent reason - don't. You are the latter.

Well, there are a few problems with that statement.  First, of course the government already makes ALL the difference, allocating to everyone precisely what they've got.  But if you meant that it will never change from the current policy of allocating everything to your tiny minority, you might well be right..   Still, there was that brief post-war period when some small concessions otherwise were made, so hope is not, I suppose, historically baseless.

Besides, there are so many ways to divide us even further.  Rich/wealthy/upper middle class.  It doesn't matter, our fate will be the same.

I think you may have left out a few people there, Terrabus, though your point is well taken about the forum demographic.

As for the 'fate all the same' crapola, sure it will be, if you mean death, but meantime some get to have fun and others get to suffer for them.
