These two also got their way, for a time:

I wouldn't say capitulating to the crazy right wing is neccessarily a good thing...

To some extent it is unavoidable, as such a large portion of the country's population are intolerants.

What, no outrage from the Dems?  Come one, it's gotta hurt!  After all, it's not like getting a manicure, you're losing control of the only branch of government where the Dems have the power to overturn the will of the majority.

I believe that is inaccurate, as the regime has promised to eliminate the filibuster if it is ever used again.

So obviously we must save the fillibuster by never using it....... That argument probably fools several of our DINOs.

No, one doesn't 'save' it - it is already gone, presumabely.

Gloating, such an appealing characteristic.

It sure is more appealing than LOSING!

I wonder what your lord and savior would say about that jmfcst?

Yes, I believe your easter Bunny 'lost' a lot more painfully than we liberals have, eh? Wink

Alito is one of us: highly qualified, determined, and intelligent.

'Us'?  That is hilarious, jmfcst.  You're some nobody in Texas - what do you have to do with these people who matter?  And after all the man can't be very intelligent, as he is a religious.  (but perhaps that's just a pose).

Nobody?  Look around...I'm part of the not so silent majority.

Yes, a great mass of duped fools.  Enjoy the sh**t-heap you're creating.

No - and it's watching self proclaimed devote believers behave so poorly that causes that.

In fairness, jmfcst's unsportsmanlike conduct is the result of his shabby background more than of his cult.  He is, quite simply, not a gentleman.

Of course they're not gentlemen, the Republicans are interested only in winning. They just got "the worst nightmare of liberal Democrats" on the court.

Well, I wasn't referring to the nominee or the Religious Party's political strategy, I was only referring to jmfcst's gloating on here.

There, now let’s get back to rubbing some more salt in those wounds!

To be honest, this Aliato thing doesn't really bother me that much - I'm sure you're well aware that I wrote off the Bad Place years ago.  I would hate to live there even if John Kerry were president, no doubt.  The place is just lousy.

But, admittedly, it is irksome to see religious such as yourself pleased at anything, when one would so much prefer to see you in the lion's maw.
