Religion.

I realize many other presidents were religious extremists, but in context they were less bad, since people in general were more primitive, simple-minded, and supersticious in the 19th and early 20th centuries.  For 2005 people like Bush are shocking, disturbing throwbacks.

I'm against an intolerant ideology.  You might as well call anti-Nazis bigots.

Bush is not really that genuine, I think most of it is pandering to the voters.  His real love is the corporations that fund his campaigns, not the God he claims to serve.  I'm surprised you of all people can't see that.

I hope you are right!  He just seems dumb enough to believe in god, and the thing is, even if you think you're just pandering to that kind of intolerance, it ends up coming to fruition.  Theocracy is still theocracy even if you were only pretending to mean it.
