What outside temperature do you prefer?

About 80 degrees if dry, 75 degrees if more humid. With some wind, a tad higher is OK. If in a suit and tie, 5 degrees lower, but that happens but once in a blue moon now. I find I like it warmer in my sunset years.

I couldn't agree more with this assessment.. though I can certainly tolerate a wider range than you describe.

The weather in Thailand is not generally the best point about it, but to a large extent I avoid the unpleasantness by being partially nocturnal.

Speaking of outside temps, its getting down in the lower-to-mid-seventies at night here now, so I really have to get my hot water heater fixed.  Its one of the inline versions they use over here, and it just barely warms the water at all, not sure why - worked great till about two months ago.
