Breaks 70.  Being Hispanic helps.

Well not to the Democrats. They have been very racist in their attitudes towards Rice and Powell and Thomas.

It is not racist to disagree with people of other races.

This link is interesting because it reveals something I did not know - that Kent Conrad's first name is actually 'Gaylord'!  That is so cool.  However I'm surprised the Republicans haven't used it against him. 

Anyway as regards the Gonzales vote, very disappointing that those Democrats voted for him, and also Specter, Chaffee, Collins, and Snowe.  jfern is right, it is time for RI voters to realize Chaffee backs the Bush/Religious Right agenda.
