Almost nothing.  Like the material almost everything is made of and the fuel of our entire nation.

I think the point here is that the amounts of oil potentially produced by offshore drilling are insignificant in our overall doom.

It isn't overpopulated, but without fossil fuels and modern technology, would couldn't support so many.

Actually, its an interesting question - how many people could the US support at AD 1800 levels of technology.
