Southerners are going to vote for a lib from Massachusetts because Edwards is on the ticket as VP?  Uh, OK.

Bayh helps more than Edwards in the battleground midwest.  It would only make sense to have the less appealing to the midwest Edwards if he could bring along a southern state or two.  He can't.

True but I wouldn't put too much stock in that poll or any other until Bush starts his campaign.  Right now, we've only heard from one side - all day, seven days a week, week after week.

I would agree that they could go that direction  with a Richardson.  Whatever strategy they do  try, it's become more and more obvious that the South will not be a piece of their puzzle.
