I think it'll be Klobuchar over Harris. Biden has been very purposefully mentioning that his first Supreme Court nominee will be a black woman for a while now - and I don't think he'd be so quick to mention that if his *running mate* ticked those same boxes.

I don't want Warren as VP. Age is a huge factor here.

But assuming Biden wins, it's unlikely Warren will run in 2024, and that means that Biden can avoid accusations of boosting one primary candidate over another.

Why do you think it's unlikely she'll run in 2024?

Why are the top prospects all cops and prosecutors? So sad.

If only Elizabeth Warren weren't white. If only Stacy Abrams had *one* extra line on her resume.

Fun facts! If picked, Harris will neither be the first female vice presidential nominee - Farrero ('84), Palin ('08) - nor even the first non-white one - Curtis ('28), Lieberman* ('00)!

* Lieberman is white

Call me a concern troll all you want, but I have a bad feeling about whoever Biden's running mate is going to be. They'll instantly become a lightning rod for the Trump campaign, and it'll work. Their attacks against her will stick, far better than they do against Teflon Joe, of that I am certain. Very soon, Trump won't be running against Biden - he'll be running against Harris. Or Warren. Or some other woman. And it could, potentially, galvanize his supporters in a really nasty way.

There's very little Biden can do to mitigate that, however. He's been running an incredible one-person campaign so far. There's a huge amount of risk to be expected when the other half of the ticket is finally revealed. And who knows how it'll all shake out in the end.

The problem is, a lot of Americans are deeply sexist, and that doesn't manifest itself as "we hate her because she's a woman" because that's too overt, they'll latch on to whatever else there is to criticize. If there's nothing, they'll find something. There's no winning with these people
