There's nothing wrong with special interest $$ in politics. It's frankly a more responsible way of doing things than 'grassroots' efforts from uninformed citizens

Democrats in here saying this is justified would also have criticised the civil rights movement for being too ‘disruptive’

Supporting systematic oppression of Constitutional rights =/= wanting the crazy screaming lady removed from the building.

"We feel things should be done to help the black man but they need to not disrupt with protests or sit ins because it makes them look bad" "They need to know their place".

Sorry, but comparing this lady's cause of trying to lessen corporate influence over politics to the heroes of the civil rights movement wreaks of trying to legitimize your political views on the subject.  Not even the same neighborhood.

The corporate domination of America didn't come all at once.  It was like boiling the frog; the temperature of the water was slowly increased, one degree at a time, until the frog died.

I think the corporate domination of our politics and our society is, indeed, a real civil rights issue.  The ways in which corporate America dominates so many facets of our lives is utterly stifling.  I'm old enough to remember when this wasn't so, at least not at the level we have today.

it's always been like this, you're simply more aware now
