Wayne County, MO voted for Jay Nixon twice, and for Claire McCaskill in 2012.

Woah, I thought Iron County was gone for the Democrats after it was among the top 10 most R swinging Counties from 2012-2016.

There were 2 other Missouri Counties in that top 10: Reynolds (which directly borders Iron) and Clark (which is the Most North East County in the entire state).

Apparently, in the Lead Belt race, Iron County was the only County wholly inside the District.
What I find slightly worrisome is that in the 039 Race, the Republican won the portion of Rays County which is located within the District (which is almost all of the County) by double digits, when in the past it has usually been only slightly more Republican than the state as a whole.

Seemingly, the areas of Reynolds & Rays County where there were no elections yesterday were the more Republican areas of the Counties.

It is tiring to see the massive Republican over-performance in Connecticut special elections. It makes no sense that Republicans there are over-performing their 2016 numbers, when they are under-performing everywhere else.

Suburban, center-right districts are extremely vulnerable for Republicans. Rural, hardcore conservative ones, are still holding strong.

These people are the type that would have came back and voted Republican again if Trump lost.
