Good to see a region levying a 20% tax on salt, an essential mineral the human body requires to live.

Also, depending on how you define processed meat the tax might not apply to burger patties or it might also apply to ground beef mince.
Not only does this make it financially difficult to obtain the vital nutrient of salt, it also makes it difficult to obtain the #1 source of the even harder to get vital nutrient of iodine and would apply to a huge portion of food items simply for containing salt despite moderate amounts of salt consumption being perfectly healthy. "Processed meats" is another ridiculous term, what's processed? Any meat that has had something done to it before packaging? Becuase ground beef on its on is not in need of condemnation and once again it is now financially more difficult to obtain a huge source of protein, iron, etc. that used to be easily obtainable. This is a travesty and needs to be repealed immediately. If any legal action against this provisions could be taken that anyone knows of, please get in contact!

Wait a minute, only a simple majority is needed to override? That's ridiculous.

There is no point of veto power existing if a simple majority can overrule it.

Then I look forward to having your support when we move to repeal the Philadelphia Plan later this session.
This issue did not come from the Philadelphia Plan, it came from one of several confusing later amendments.
