So can we get it voted on? Everyone likes it, no one wants to amend it, I don't see why we can't just vote on it already.

That's not how the standing orders work.

There is 72 hours of debate. After that or 36 hours of no debate, whichever comes later, there is suppose to be a 24 hour objection period until a final vote is open.
Yes, yes, I know the standing orders. I'm just venting my irritance that there isn't a way of speeding it up for bills everyone supports.

Also, ON Progressive, you need to change the thread title from DEBATING to Final Vote.

Gosh when did you become me? Tongue I'm the one that is suppose to holler at the speaker for not doing something right.
I guess I have, considering that I am messaging members who have not yet voted to inform them that the vote is open and asking that they vote.

Neither Scott nor myself (who combined have spent most of the calendar year being speaker) did that unless is what a major vote FTR. I'd personally try to pick my spots; people will eventually tune out if you spam them too much. But if you want to message them, go ahead.
When your planning to introduce a bill a week you quickly come to the realisation that reminding/pushing people to vote will be necessary to avoid creating a backlog.
