Dems should nominate AOC or Andrew Yang in 2024.
Imagine actually thinking AOC or Yang is more popular with the average American than Biden. Thank God we nominated this ticket! We could have lost with someone else.

If Biden is the strongest dem candidate then the party is just doomed forever. It's obvious that what dems are doing now isn't working.

AOC is obviously not the solution. There's probably not Democrat in America with a lower favorability rating. If anything, we need to move towards the Democratic party of the '90s.

Democrats nominated two centrist candidates in a row. Both times they dramatically underperformed.
It's clear that conventional wisdom of muh third way politics is not working. Dems need to go Left.

Most evidence indicates Hillary lost because she was viewed as too progressive.

Y'all are nuts. Biden is likely to win, but we know why he didn't get the votes in certain areas. Pretend all you want. That's all I have to say on the matter.

Your explanation is Kamala Harris. Count me as skeptical.

-all of Hillary's negatives
-plus some (unfortunately)
-none of the positives

Yeah, Kamala is a problem.

I'd disagree on the negatives, what data we have indicates she's viewed at least as favorably as Biden, and nobody votes on the VP anyway.

I don't want to say why, but I do know why. Those numbers in RGV and NM aren't statistical noise.

So you're telling me a bunch of rural Latinos turned out for the first time and voted Trump because Biden picked Harris as VP. I'm skeptical.

Yeah, that's what I'm telling you. Obviously, it wasn't because Trump did a phenomenal job and people had to support him.

I simply disagree and you'll need to provide actual evidence to back it up. There's no way somebody chooses to become a voter over a VP pick. Seems more likely they supported Trump over actual issues--small business closures, for example, seem like a real possibility.

What I'm trying to say is there's a lot of racist Latinos out there, too. And Kamala combined with BLM was a trigger. It's disgusting, but it's why we see what we see in RGV and NM.

And what I'm trying to say is that nobody cares about VP. It might be different if she was on top of the ticket.

So how is it Biden's fault?

Partially. And also partially genuine strength from Trump. If I had to guess, I really think "Democrats are the party of welfare and socialism" is really hitting us with small business owners--who are heavily Latino and Asian. We need to fix our messaging on that.
