FOURTH DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
(all images below are from Wikimedia Commons)

Cooper: Good evening. I'm Anderson Cooper, and I'll be moderating this fourth Democratic presidential debate in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm here with...

...former Georgia State House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams...

...US Senator from New York Kirsten Gillibrand...

... and billionaire activist Tom Steyer.

Cooper: Candidates will give an opening statement, answer two specific questions, and give a closing statement. Responses and statements will be judged on clarity, length, and, of course, votes from the audience and you, the viewers across the nation. So, without further ado, let's start.

Specific Questions

To Ms. Abrams: Despite all the naysayers on your experience and record, you're currently the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination. Do you believe this proof that the party wants a more moderate, "electable" nominee to defeat President Pence?

Despite your being the most successful African-American female presidential candidate in history, many civil rights leaders and organizations have announced their support for your competitors. Do you think it has to do with the perceived failure of identity politics in Hillary Clinton's 2016 bid, and, if not, what do you believe is the cause of this?

To Senator Gillibrand: With your victories in Washington, Michigan, and Idaho Tuesday, you have once again cemented yourself as a leading contender in this race. However, as Mr. Steyer can attest, a win on one night doesn't necessarily translate to a win on the next. What is your strategy to maintain your momentum going forward?

Despite your recent general alignment with the left wing of the party, you've been endorsed by many notable moderates, such as Amy Klobuchar and Darren Soto. Do you believe this is proof you can unite the party moving into November?

To Mr. Steyer: You are the only remaining male candidate on this stage at the moment. What do you say to those who believe you should drop out and let a woman be the 2020 Democratic nominee?

Your supporters have cited your victory in Oklahoma on Super Tuesday as proof you can appeal to working people in middle America, and not just coastal elites. With Governor Bullock out of the race, do you believe you can expand on that win and begin racking up victories in the Great Plains?

PHASE III, TURN VIII: PEACHY KEEN ON 1991
(I'm honestly sorry about this one)

St. Patrick's Day appears to have been another excellent night for the ladies in the race, as Senator Gillibrand and Ms. Abrams took all of the contests that evening. Meanwhile, Tom Steyer, knocked back somewhat by another string of defeats on Tuesday, is faced with the decision of whether or not to press on, as his aides note that, even if he can't resurge, he can probably earn enough delegates to become the kingmaker at a contested convention. Gillibrand and Abrams, meanwhile, now turn their attentions to the upcoming primaries in Georgia, or, since Abrams's home state is unlikely to be competitive, Puerto Rico, Louisiana, Wyoming, Hawaii, and Alaska.

Current Polling (11-13 March 2020)

Democrats
Stacey Abrams - 41%
Kirsten Gillibrand - 35%
Tom Steyer - 21%
Undecided - 2%

Republicans
Mike Pence - 90%

Other/Undecided - 10%

Libertarians
Austin Petersen - 94%
Other/Undecided - 6%

Schedules for March 18th through 24th will be due April 2. There will be no debate this turn.

King: And I'm John King. And we're here to bring you the results of the Georgia Democratic primary.

Blitzer: Indeed we are, John. We are now getting in the first results from the state, and we can already make a projection.

Blitzer: Ms. Abrams, of course, the favorite coming into tonight, and leading by some forty-four points over Senator Gillibrand. Mr. Steyer, meanwhile, struggling, as he has not won a state since the beginning of the month, and the campaign stating that he would stay in the race largely to push his own progressive agenda.

King: Indeed, Wolf, and of course Georgia is Abrams's home state, so a sweeping victory here, to the point that Steyer, and, to look at that margin, possibly Gillibrand if things shift further toward Abrams, may get no delegates.

Blitzer: Definitely something to watch to see if it continues as the night rages on, as it would mean Abrams would sweep a contest with 105 delegates. We will be back with more results after the break.

PHASE III, TURN IX: 51 DELEGATES IN THE 51ST STATE

With Georgia a massive and unsurprising victory for Ms. Abrams, attention now turns to a territory hellbent on becoming the 51st state after the subpar response it received after being hit by a hurricane. While local politics have been less than kind to their leaders, many presidential hopefuls have stoked a fire in the people here with both campaign visits and open promises to move toward making the island territory's dreams of statehood come true. Thus, many locals have called it symbolic that Puerto Rico has 51 delegates this cycle. Only time will tell how prophetic this will be.

Election Results 2020
with your hosts, Wolf Blitzer and John King

Blitzer: Good evening. I'm Wolf Blitzer.

King: And I'm John King. And we're here to bring you the results of the Puerto Rico Democratic primary.

Blitzer: Indeed we are, John. We are now getting in the first results from the territory, and here they are.

Blitzer: Senator Gillibrand seemingly the favorite coming into tonight, and leading by some six points over Ms. Abrams. Mr. Steyer, meanwhile, in third again, but, unlike in Georgia, above the 15% threshold required to get delegates.

King: Indeed, Wolf, and of course Steyer only spent a single day in Puerto Rico in recent memory, focusing far more heavily on the Midwestern primaries of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where he hopes large delegate hauls will allow him to play queenmaker at the convention.

Blitzer: Definitely something to watch to see how it plays out as the night rages on. We will be back with more results after the break.

Blitzer: Senator Gillibrand significantly expanding her lead over Ms. Abrams, and so now we can make a projection. She is leading by some thirteen points over Ms. Abrams. Mr. Steyer, meanwhile, in third again, but, unlike in Georgia, above the 15% threshold required to get delegates.
