''We're open to having a good dialogue between all nations to listen to their points of view. It's legitimate, but for us frankly legalization isn't the solution.''

So we're going to let them talk about it, but we've already decided we aren't going to listen?

I believe Joe Biden has said that he'd like to have the debate, as a way to lay out the reasons that the Obama administration has for maintaining prohibition.

Either way, having the dialogue is a good first step. Latin American leaders are quickly abandoning the idea of prohibition, so hopefully this if just one step towards building a consensus for the end of prohibition.

After all, the reasons the Obama administration has pretty much boil down to ''Drugs are bad, and it's your responsibility to fight and die to stop us from buying all those drugs that we love so much.''
