Crooked Christie leading Menendez by double digits? Was Menendez convicted of rape right before the election? Also, wouldn't cheating on his dead wife tank Edwards' career as per OTL?

1. Yes, he was.
2. No, it would not, as several politicians have been elected in midst of sex-scandals, in fact, Bill Clinton's approval ratings during the Lewinsky scandal were still high.
