Some results from Limestone, and Moore is over 60 in the county right now.

Looks like the Mo Brooks -> Moore voter conversion is going smoothly for the Moore campaign.

Very sad to see wannabe war criminal Bill Kristol being given a voice. I hope Jones disavows his endorsement.

If you are expecting left wing partisanship in Alabama, then I have a bridge to sell you in Alaska.

Well this helps Moore. The swamp he campaigned against for months is leaving him, only allows him to disavow them furthur. Strenghthens his outsider credibility.

This is arguably where the rubber hits the road. I don't think Trump, when in the middle of the Access Hollywood indecent, ever hit anything close to 80%. I might be wrong, but I think he peaked at high 50s/low 60s in % of people who want him to withdraw. And of course, this number was boosted by the fact that 40-45% of it was Left leaning individuals who simply wanted Trump gone. The fact the number remained low meant that when the media story shifted, some of the people who disapproved of Trumps actions came home.

It is now medias/team dems job to actually make the story stick and bring forward more evidence in order to refute the claims of Fake News. Unfortunately, with the data right now, I don't think it will work. Perhaps things will change...

Fudotei, excellent posts. Helpful to get some insight from someone fairly right-leaning
Agreed, my thanks as well

National Dems not getting in is perhaps the best scenario for them - as GA - 06 showed, pouring money into a race invigorates the opposition, while SC-05 showed what a sleepy race might provide. Their best bet is to keep the story one of Moore's continued dominance, even as these allegations wreck havoc upon the field. I still think until we see more data, Moore is ahead and should win.

I had a feeling she wouldn't. Her moving the date originally from 2018 to 2017 suggested to me that she wouldn't stand for the Bentley-era corruption/shifty deals. This once again confirms it.

The Rep move from now appears to be letting Moore win, and then instantly expelling him form the senate, triggering another special election in 2018.

What amazing times we live in for an Alabama megathread to have 60+ pages, with a second thread likely needed through election day.

Can I please extend my co-ownership of this current thread to the next one? I have a very big ego.

Considering how the VA-Gov thread added 50+ pages in the last two days, I wouldn't be surprised if we end going through 3 threads by December 13th Tongue

Senators Collins and Hatch have put out statements agreeing with McConnell.

Anyone got a list of those senators supporting/against Moore's candidacy right now?
