Can't believe there's so many Democrats in this thread that are falling for the Trumpet playbook. That's right, you all supporting Manning for the lulz are no better than Trumpets who supports wackos to "trigger teh libruhs". This solidifies my support for Cardin.

Nobody's supporting Manning because it's funny or whatever. We support her because she's one of the best people alive.
I don't care if you're serious or not. Electing Manning would be irresponsible and would be equivalent or possibly even worse than Roy Moore.

I will avoid posting in this thread again unless I feel I have to, but I'll depart it by saying that Manning only moved to Maryland in 2006. She's a carpetbagger.

At 74 Cardin should retire so a younger Dem can take over like Sarbanes or Anthony Brown.
That I can agree with. Just not a convicted felon who endangered the lives of many Americans.

This thread has the perfect mix of transphobia, uncritical online lefty hero worship, and spurious Roy Moore comparisons that I never knew I needed
Someone should just lock this thread to end the toxicity.

Ignoring all the trolling earlier in the thread, my problems with Manning is that she endangered the lives of many, which displays her disregard for the law, and she has absolutely no governmental experience. Plus, I have absolutely no problem with Cardin; he is a reliable Dem vote in the senate, and for anyone who says otherwise, show me a vote you're very upset with him about.

Are you all forgetting that even if Manning were to somehow win it all, the Senate would refuse to seat her?

She isn't going to win, and the people who are supporting her know this.

No one - not even Manning herself - thinks she'd win the primary, let alone the general. She's basically running to bring attention to security, trans and foreign policy issues.
Trump apparently didn't think he'd win the primary or the general, so how is Manning any different from Trump?

I live in Maryland, and I'm gonna vote for Cardin.
