Sanders is writing a new book, that’ll come out just a week after the midterms:

I know this is a 2020 thread, but after tonight's CNN Town Hall about Gun Control, I'm quite sure Marco Rubio's political career is toast.

That is all.

Anyone notice that Mayor Pete Buttigieg has a book coming out in February of 2019.

It's called-
Shortest Way Home
One mayor's challenge and a model for America's future

hmm. America's future?

http://books.wwnorton.com/books/detail.aspx?ID=4294997537

True, but Mitch Daniels also wrote a book, and never ran. It's a tossup.

The former Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party Arvin Vohra announced tonight at the party convention (after losing his seat as Vice Chair) that he's running for President in 2020.

Vohra served as a moderately popular Vice Chair until he made some rather controversial decisions like stating that 15-year-olds have the right to date/have sex with 25-year-olds, and appearing on a white nationalist podcast.

Former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh disavowed Trump for "the final time" today on Twitter; ending a rocky relationship between the two.

"Look, I'm no big deal, but today is the final straw for me. I will never support Trump again. If that makes me a NeverTrumper, so be it. I am a tea party conservative, that will never change. But Trump was a traitor to this country today. That must not be accepted. Speak out."

Possible Libertarian/Independent candidate, or even a primary challenger to Trump?

The Andrew Cuomo gubernatorial campaign illegally acquired the personal information of students who registered for New York's Excelsior scholarship program, in another chapter of Cuomo's long history with corruption.

Tom Steyer's Need To Impeach group is now giving away merchandise/taking donations through ActBlue instead of managing it independently - to further confirm Steyer's future run for the Democratic nomination.

The Andrew Yang campaign has started making more campaign merchandise, particularly revealing his specific plan for universal income - $10,000 USD per month per person.

A plan which would cost $3,280,548,920,000 per month, or $39,366,587,040,000 per year.

Joe Biden opened a new official Instagram account:

https://www.instagram.com/joebiden/

His old one was still a now inactive government account (vp44). He picked up thousands of followers very quickly. Maybe a setup for 2020?

On top of the several speaking engagements he has scheduled for later this year and 2019, I think it will be no surprise if we see another Biden campaign.

Brian Schatz headed to Iowa later this month, though he says "There are no circumstances under which I would consider running":

In fact he says that if offered the nomination, he would refuse:

Sad. Schatz with the correct, progressive VP could easily put up 350 EV on Trump/Pence.

I might vote for Avenatti. He's not a spineless wimp who rolls over and gives the Republicans everything they want like most Democrats are.  I think Democrats are hungry for a candidate with a spine.

This but unironically.

Like, I seriously respect/like Avenatti.

I think he's a sane Democrat that, with the right VP running mate, could appeal to the Rust Belt voters and beat Trump.

Bloomberg registers as a Democrat again, potentially as a precursor to a run for the party's presidential nomination:
