NYT: white liberals to the left of blacks on some racial issues

What was the point of this study? Of course when you compare an entire ethnic group to a subset of another within a single ideological range, there's going to be some differences because conservative blacks do exist, where conservative white liberals (by the definition of them being liberal) don't. Let's see where whites and blacks as a whole, or liberal whites vs liberal blacks, stand on this, otherwise it's nothing more than evidence created to back up a predetermined narrative.
