Sacremento, California, December 17, 2019

As a democrat, we have unfinished work to do. I am a pragmatist who will fight for our democratic values and get things done! I am tired of the top 1% receiving all the benefits while others get hammered! I will make sure we are safe from threats at home and abroad! I believe I am the best candidate to do this, which is why I am running for President of the United States!

President Rubio has announced his campaign for reelection. His agenda is in tatters; with few accomplishments to run on( save for a 1 T dollar tax cut and a partial Obamacare repeal) the president is betting on Americans giving he and the republicans a second chance.

The public is equally divided with 44% approving of the president, and 47% disapproving.

The president is also facing a contested fight for the primary. Congressman Justin Amash seems to be making a play for the conservative libertarian vote; and younger voters; while Governor Gregg Abbott is running as the conservative alternative; in part as a result to the attempted immigration reform pursued by Rubio and senate republicans.

Noted white suprmacist David duke has also thrown his hat into the ring. His candidacy has received a strong rebuke from both sides.

Current polling finds Rubio ahead with 70% support. Abbott is his closest rival; with a meager 14%.

Economic Analysts forecast a slight down in the economy. The last quarter’s growth was revised; the economy grew at 1.9%. This is the second straight quarter of a decline in economic growth

Unemployment currently stands at 5.8%. A slight downtick from last months 5.9%.
Jobs created: 2017-2019 1.1 M
Stock market reached 24,000 level in March 2018
Concerns over a meltdown. “Stocks continue to climb, it can only go down.” — Robert Reich

——-
On the Democratic Side a slightly smaller field than expected. Big names like Cory Booker and Andrew Cuomo and Kirsten Gillibrand took a pass on running.

Currently, Former Vice Presidential nominee and incumbent Ohio Senator sherrod Brown leads the pack with 21%. He is followed by California Senator Kamala Harris and Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin. Both seem to be vying for the consensus candidate. Both are considered rising stars.

After the debacle of 2016 Democrats are eager to avoid a similar problem. Party Chair Keith Ellison has called for a “fair and transparent process”. Several democratic debates are planned throughout the primary process with the first taking place at the end of August.

Other democrats running are Virginia Senator Tim Kaine; who is looking to fill the establishment Lane; Bernie Sanders running mate and Congressman Tulsi Gabbard is also running for the nomination

Perennial democratic candidate and former congressman Dennis Kucinich announced his bid for the presidency; hoping to pick up the threads of Sanders candidacy.

Two wild card candidates are: Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards and Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander. Kander a former senate candidacy has been a harsh critic of the republicans attempts at voter reform.

Bel Edwards campaign is an appeal to the white working class voter who broke for Rubio in 2016. Bel Edwards has also been critical of the Democrats focus on identity politics.

Brown: 21%
Harris: 17%
Baldwin: 14%
Kaine: 9%
Gabbard: 6%
Kucinich: 5%
Kander: 3%
Bel Edwards: 2%
Undecided: 23%

Rally in Iowa University auditorium-

the crowd goes wild

Hello all!(waits for the crowd to calm down). Y' know, I just recently announced my campaign, and we are already tied with Senator Brown in South Carolina, and not far behind in this great state of Iowa, along with Nevada, and New Hampshire! People are flipping to me because I have shown my ability time and time again to not just make bold statements about our democratic values but get things done! Here is what will get done in a Harris presidency!  Middle class and small business tax cuts, while not letting the corporate fatcats pay as much as their secretary, affordable healthcare! People like Sherrod Brown exemplify the all talk/ nothing to show persona! He made a promise to only serve one term in the Senate, yet here we are. (crowd boos) I think we should all come together as Democrats to fight for our key values, and I will achieve these as president!

Rally in Lexington, SC

the crowd goes wild!

Hello all South Carolinians! Today, we stand at a critical juncture in time. We stand with a choice over someone to the likes of Sherrod Brown or Tammy Baldwin who have made no real attempts to reach beyond the political divide. Or you can pick a pragmatist who will truly fight for our democratic ideals!(waits for the crowd to calm down). Wise people like 99-year-old 'Fritz' Hollings or Jim Clyburn or Tom Harkin (crowd cheers) have endorsed me and see that my path for America will succeed. I pledge that when we get into the Whitehouse, we gon have affordable healthcare, free college, small business and middle-class tax cuts! And to those who worry about our deficit, I pledge a Harris administration that will cut the deficit by 100 billion. We will do this by fixing loopholes in the tax code and making sure the top 1% pay their fair share! Under my leadership, the Democratic party will become the party of all- rich, poor, white, black, Hispanic. Thank you all and good night!

Statement from Harris Campaign

Following the trend set by Mrs. Baldwin, the Harris Campaign decided to only take small donations in this primary. We do this for 2 reasons, 1, it would be truly unfair if we won this primary based on one's fundraising ability and not on the merit of our ideas, and 2, no billionaire should be allowed to pick an election winner just because they can. Together, lets march into a bright future of no big money in politics!

I join Senator Baldwin and Brown on this filibuster because climate change has been occurring more and more quickly in recent years. President Rubio should know we will NOT give up on this issue. As such, we will not give up the floor, and I will not resume my campaign until this pipeline bill is defeated, or President Rubio backs down.

crap, it already passed. I'll keep this up for good measure

Yeah, this is horribly unfair to Democrats.

Unless you can commit to being less biased in your game management, Brown will withdraw as well.

I don't recall endorsements for Harkin, Cortez Masto, Shaheen or Clyburn being announced anywhere by either Game Manager.

Also, Hollings would be 98 by this point. Odds are he'd be deceased, therefore he isn't a realistic endorsement.
NHI allowed,  think R/H would be indifferent

In an effort to be displayed the pragmatist, yet brave one in the race, I run an ad about my record and how I can

Every state plus DC and the 6 territories

"Brave":

Narrator: As an Attorney General and a senator, Kamala Harris has been someone who got things done.

Narrator: As attorney general, she sued big oil and demanded they respect royalties and hazardous waste laws

Narrator: She took down Wall Street and got 20 billion dollars for her home state, and is now pledging to take only small money donations, unlike some of her opponents.

Narrator: She filibustered to try and block the pipeline

Narrator: And now she wants to be a brave president, And you can help her by voting for her

Narrator: So when the time comes, the best choice is clear.

Harris: I am Kamala Harris, and I approve this message.

Ad- to play in all 50 states

in an effort to attract his progressive base, I hit Sherrod hard on big money

'who?'

Harris-I am kamala Harris and I approve this message

Narrator-Sherrod Brown and most of the other democratic candidates are taking big money donations in this race.

Narrator- But who comes to these fundraisers? You think your regular Bob and Joe who work hard for their money can afford a 30,000 plate?

Narrator- Lets Show Sherrod Brown that we do not approve of Big Money in our races by voting for Kamala Harris!

Kamala's campaign summary : August 27-September 2, 2019

Throughout the week, Senator Harris campaigned in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, and in all the Super Tuesday southern states such as Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, where she hopes to mobilize her party's moderate wing (some times set aside to Senate duties). She focuses on issues such as campaign Finance reform, promotion of the defense of same-sex marriage, green energy, higher minimum wage and promoting same-day voting registration. She also made debate preparations. She arrives in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 2 to participate in the first Democratic presidential debate with her rivals Senator Tammy Baldwin, Senator Tim Kaine, and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.

Harris visited IA, SC, NV, GA, NH, IL and TN throughout the week with various political surrogates. In her speeches, she attempted to portray herself as a progressive pragmatist. She also recruited a Head of Organizing and Grassroots. In IA, she emphasized her support for Ethanol subsidies.
