The ticket will not be two white people above the age of 70.
One of whom pretended to be Native American. In a time where this country is having a major reckoning about race.

FWIW - The Biden running mate online fundraiser page is a picture of him speaking in Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer's State.

Rice is just an odd a** choice. That would be extremely disappointing. I would take Whitmer before her.

It sounds like it may actually be Susan Rice.

Oh god. I really hope not.

Joe, please...DON'T CHOOSE SUSAN RICE.

Rice is just an odd a** choice. That would be extremely disappointing. I would take Whitmer before her.

Rice seems like a huge mistake to me.

Do we really need four posts on the same page expressing the same thought? Y'all don't like Susan Rice, we get it. This is what the recommend feature is for.
Um, I’m grown. I will say whatever I want. I didn’t even see those posts when I commented. You really could’ve kept scrolling.

I'm just saying many people I talk too especially black women would like to see a black woman on the ticket. We shouldn't take the black vote for granted based on the old trope that "We were going to show up anyway". And saying that Black people voted for Biden in primary goes back to that old white saying of "What more does the Negro want."
Black folks voted for Biden because he was supposed to be the dude to bring white people back. 🤷🏿‍♂️ I want to see a Black woman on the ticket.

So a veteran political operative expressing a fairly obvious opinion means he's a racist and a sexist?  Got it.

Yes. B/c as Josh points out, a lot of this "oppo" isn't even necessarily targeted oppo. It's just the press doing their job. He's now needlessly (subtweetingly) smearing other VP candidates for no reason, with no proof.

The Atlas dude Bros will scroll right past this and claim that anyone who challenges people like Axelrod are being irrational and playing identity politics. Roll Eyes

Let’s see if this gets deleted too.

Leaving your State in the midst of a coronavirus resurgence is not a good look. Michigan's SoE was even extended by her today. Yikes

99% of people won't care.  There is an order of succession for a reason.  Also, this standard is never applied to senators who seek the vice presidency or presidency.
Because Senators don't run their states. Huh Huh

I have a feeling that it will be Susan Rice even though I support Kamala. Biden will confide in his closest advisers (his wife Jill & his sister Valerie).

Jill apparently is still hesitant about Kamala because of the debates last year and Valerie doesn't like Kamala at all. Biden's team likes Susan Rice and so do Jill & Valerie. Also, Joe might not want to be "outshined" by his VP. It sucks but it is what is.

I think that Susan Rice is one of the worst possible VP picks but ultimately it's up to Joe. It's his decision alone and there's nothing any of us can do about it.

I wouldn’t be shocked if those two urge him to go with his heart and pick Whitmer. It’s hard to be blind to the liability Rice is.
You know Whitmer is the choice he wants in his heart based on what? Your hard on for her?

What are Susan Rice's domestic policies? Her foreign policy is large bad.

Also, how would she work with Congress? She probably has only a surface level understanding of Congress just like most Americans. How would be stand up to or bring Republicans to the table?
I’m very institutional and believe in building strong county and state parties and building strong candidate benches. I have a severe problem with elevating someone who has never been in the trenches trying to get Democrats elected or raising money for the party. I would take Warren before Rice.

The pick has been made and pretty sure it's not Bass. They can stop kicking her now.

Kamala Harris is not going to unfollow because she wasn't picked. Like... come on. LOL.

There's obviously a technical glitch/error/something weird.

'No one in my judgment who is outstanding': Ed Rendell grades Biden vice presidential options

Just ugh at Biden keeping these old, fat windbags relevant.

I’m glad the anti-Harris brigade prematurely showed their ass so if Harris isn’t the pick y’all can’t throw shade if any Harris fans express disappointment.

If the pick is someone I don’t like I’m simply going to not comment.
