Heh, I remember Bush having a significant nationwide lead following the 2004 convention, which would later turn out to be a close election. No, I'm not saying this will repeat, but it's bound to get narrower, with Clinton reaching her peak some time ago.

To be fair, Bush's convention went a couple weeks before Gore's. After that, the polling was pretty close
