Is it just me or was he channelling George Bush while putting him down?  The awkward gasping laugh was pure Bush.

Yeah, that type of subtle humor apparently flies over the head of the Santorumites. Clearly the laugh was a friendly mocking of Bush while simultaneously indicating he would not accept the VP slot in 2004.

I don't see what's wrong with this - It'd be foolish for any candidate running for Governor to leave open the possibility of running for VP 2 years later. People want someone who they think will be able to stick it out all 4 years, not quit midway through for greener pastures (See Sarah Palin).
