2026 could be a reach opportunity for Democrats if it's a Republican President's midterm and they can recruit Laura Kelly, but other than that, I think Democrats are at least a decade away from being viable in federal elections in Kansas.

With respect to Kelly, she'll be in her mid-to-late 70s at the conclusion of her second gubernatorial term, and I haven't seen any public reports indicating any interest from her in seeking a Senate seat. Thus, if she were to run for Senate in 2026, I think the fundamentals for her would probably not be as good as those for Steve Bullock in 2020.
