Alchemy doesn't belong on this list of pseudosciences. It's easily the most valid field of study here. Chemical elements are actually social constructs when you really think about it. The number of protons, neutrons, or electrons isn't what determines an element; what matters is how the element presents itself. Consequentially, I've been stockpiling lead that is currently transitioning into gold. Once I finish spray-painting it I expect to be offered a price at the proper market value-- that is, unless you're transition-metal-phobic.
