When we were discussing this bill, I recall particularly regarding deregistration for instance that it would be handled in a separate bill later on. Is that still the plan?

Looking at Section IV of thos new bill it does seem the requirements for voting are the same.

I do think registration should indeed be handled by a separate Census Act or something
