MSNBC just called it for Obama right off the bat, which tells me it's a big win

this also bodes well for MD and the states coming up later this month :-D

Well, polls close in half an hour, so we'll see soon enough if these exit polls are accurate.

Curious...how come Virginia polls closer an hour early before Maryland and DC?

Southern states generally seem to have earlier closing times. Don't know why.

keep poor voters who have to work all day to make ends meet (ie black ppl) from voting

What the hell is with Chris Matthews wanting Tim Kaine to do Virginia accents for him? Is CNN covering this now? I need to turn off MSNBC...

Matthews is an idiot.

It's really too early to say "Obama is going to keep going up."  The counties reporting so far are just random, and none of them have reported significantly.

In Virginia elections, the conservative rural areas always come in before the more democratic cities and NOVA because they have fewer ppl. Remember Allen vs Webb in 2006: Allen led for most of the night until the cities came in for Webb, allowing him to win narrowly.

Wow. Obama won Catholics! He did better among non-college graduates than graduates! He basically tied among whites, crushed with blacks, and...

He won Hispanics.

Clinton is bleeeeeding.

Are these predominately Americanized English-speaking Hispanics or Spanish-speaking immigrant hispanics? The two groups are quite different and I would expect that the latter would be far more favorable to Clinton.
