They'd have to be bold or courageous to do that, so no, probably not. They don't really have a history of challenging powerful Democrats.

Have they seriously challenged ANY democrat in recent cycles?

They won a special election in CT this year for a state legislature seat. It was in Hartford so it was just the WFP candidate vs a democrat.
