Anyway this amendment does 2 things: bumps down the required years of math from 12 to 11 (it's not everyone's thing, isn't really necessary at the higher level unless you want to go into that field, and not everyone will pursue a STEM career) and makes sure students aren't unnecessarily punished for being absent from class. Travel is now a reason for an excused absence instead of unexcused, plus with 15 unexcused days per year as the minimum for action to be taken it's only gonna affect the people who are chronically absent. Also it makes sure legal punishment isn't the only route for ensuring students are in class.

I feel like the debate period should be a little longer than 48 hours. I'm not technically a delegate but I'm the only one who's said anything. Plus it hasn't even been 48 full hours yet.
