When Bernie was first elected to congress, Vermont had voted Democratic for President only once and since the Republican party had been founded, the House seat/s (used to be more than 1) were all Republican except for a single term of a Democrat and a single term of a Greenback.

And after Bernie was elected to Congress, Vermont became an extremely Democratic state, dumbass. You might as well say Shelley Moore Capito has experience winning in a blue state because West Virginia in 2000 was a Democratic-leaning state.
