Nah, nothing will stop the NRA and GOP from being so obstinate.

What would it take, I don't know. Maybe if everybody starts 3D-printing guns at home and cut into the gun companies' profits then the gun lobby might bend. (The gun debate would get even messier though). Either that, or we'll still be seeing politicians giving thoughts and prayers by the heat death of the universe.
