Chinese-American

I mean, races are social constructs and society is constantly redefining what different races are. So Hispanic is a de facto race (and so is Middle Eastern and North African, I guess).

Russian, Hungarian, Spanish, and Dutch. Not to mention Jewish.

Honest question, I thought you were Chinese-American (and from your flag, Taiwanese-American in particular)?

White, but bizarrely a handful of people at one of my jobs believed I was East Asian. We were conversing, and somebody asked where I was from, and I said North London. Then they inquired where my family were from, and I explained my father is from Wales and my mother is from Somerset. They then shook their head and said "like are you from china or Japan or Korea...?" Very weird.

Despite the fact that I am half-white (i.e. Scandinavian) and half-Japanese, everyone seems to think I look Central Asian in the Turkic sense.

Makes sense if you think about it, though.  Wasn't there an ancient population of Celts who dwelt in the same region (based on the mummies found there), who later mixed with their Asiatic neighbors?

It's far more likely that whoever Crabcake was on the phone with mistook her British accent for an East Asian one, and proceeded to go through the racist "Where are you really from" shtick with her.
