it’s more exurban, and it’s more on the wealthy side than educated compared to otherwise similar counties liks hunterdon nj, which has a very high number of college graduates. i think a v interesting question is why monmouth county swung to trump and trended republican

Hurricane Sandy fallback. Even if NJ trended R in 2016 on paper in reality it is actually trending D despite my mock username.
that’s what i was thinking too, but it still swung R in 2012, and it has a really high number of college graduates like somerset, morris and bergen, yet behaves very differently. idk monmouth confuses me
