He's blowing another thousand dollars on a new A/C unit! Do his parents have an endless supply of money?

It took me a minute to find his fb page. Jeff Brown is a reasonably common name. I know what he looks like, so I'm scanning and scanning and don't see his face. Oh....right, he the black kid Smiley

One of you tax guys may need to correct me, but I believe he will also be responsible for paying income taxes on the difference between what he owed and what the bank gets at either foreclosure auction or short sale. I think there was a temporary tax holiday on that form of "income" as so many people were already up a foreclosure creek with out a paddle a few years back, but I believe it has now expired. Better get a job for that if nothing else. The IRS is not nearly as forgiving as mommy and daddy. You don't want to owe Uncle Sam money you don't have. He gets very grumpy.

PutinOnTheRitz, what is your opinion of Bushie calling himself Bushie Boo Boo? Is this a recent phenomenon, or have you witnessed this behavior previously?
You may want to go back and see who started this thread Tongue

Well he hasn't objected. Clearly, he has a problem.
The ridicule he endures here is the least of his problems.

isnt the usps out of business?

another 'industry' the unions destroyed.

Not really.  The internet destroyed the USPS along with government mandates.  It's not the fault of the postal service that they haven't been able to shrink to meet the new reality.  Even with the mandated requirements of Saturday delivery, being unable to set prices on their own, and an inability to close post offices that aren't being fully utilized, if it weren't for the mandate that, unlike the rest of the government, they fully fund their pensions they'd still be without immediate problems, yet getting there as the use of first class mail continues to shrink.

But that's why you need post offices as a governmental function.  Mail is one area where allowing a pure capitalistic system wouldn't work.
Baloney. Letters and spam go through email just fine. UPS and FedEx can handle packages. Please choose FedEx and support my hometown. We need more jobs and money Smiley

I was exclusively addressing the funds to see mental assistance.

Oh I see.  Yeah I think that's like $150/hour though. I suppose nowadays they just see the patient once every six months and stuff him full of drugs.  In the old days they tried psychoanalysis, but maybe now just drugs.
You don't see a psych for anywhere near an hour. You get about 5 minutes of face time, same as with any doctor. I pay $100 every three month for the 5 minutes. And, more importantly, for new permission slips for the same drugs I've been taking for years.

Why, memphis?  Why on earth would anyone prefer a 'private' business where a government service can do the job?  UPS and FedEx just put profits into the hands of some privileged owner - why should we put up with this when a public service was working just fine.

I'd rather pay ten times for a public service with proper unionization and no private owner reaping the benefits than tolerate these 'private companies'.
FedEx pilots are unionized. And they have no reservations about reminding management of that fact.

Not true, memphis.  I saw the  psychologist for an hour, once a week, $15 co-pay each time.  I don't know why my plan covered it, but I'm glad it did......oh those were the days!
A psychologist is not a doctor. I'm talking about my psychiatrist

What the heck?  That's sick.  You don't get to lay back on a comfortable divan and have a good old chin-wag?
If you want some talk therapy, go see a therapist. Psychiatrists are merely drug dealers. They're also the gate keepers to mental hospitals, but, fortunately, I've had no need for any of that. Standard practice is to schedule one patient for every 15 minutes. But some of that time must be used for reviewing records, writing prescriptions, and such. You can do the math.

Does anybody seriosuly believe that Bushie can consistently make rent, car maintenance/repairs/gasoline, utilities, food, car insurance, health insurance, medical bills, credit cards, and make reasonable progress toward paying back the money he owes his parents, all while losing substantial amounts of weight? He's about as likely to medal in female gymnastics. It's just not feasible, folks. There's no point in holding up a standard that he can't possibly acheive as the only way he can redeem himself as a person. He needs to make better decisions, no doubt, but he's never going to live up to your ideals. If you can't see that, you're the one with a mental illness.

Considering its Oklahoma, I'm sure many of them are racist Democrats.
Although the phenomenon is now finally over, I never understood the conservative rural Democrat thing. White people in Southern cities figured out they were Republicans 50 years ago. What took the rurals so long?

His parents sleep in different rooms? Is that a religious thing?

More likely a snoring/need some personal space thing. On the topic of religion and strange sleeping habits, my ultra-Orthodox aunt and uncle slept in the same room but in separate beds, just like in 1950s sitcoms.

I hope your mom is ok. Try to make your food intake reasonable. There's no point in starting anything unsustainable. Focus on quality meats and whole grains. There's a huge nutritional difference between a hotdog on a white bun and a piece of roasted chicken with brown rice.

Sorry to hear. Renal issues are awful! I had a teacher in high school who had a kidney transplant. People on dialysis have to avoid drinking water as much as possible because they can't process it and retain the fluid. Why is your mother trying to drink a lot of water?

Bushie, I feel very sorry for you that people you trust and look up to have made you feel guilty about your natural and not at all harmful sexual needs and desires.

I personally believe its okay to a point, but when it becomes an obsession its a whole different matter.  What it does it to a single man or single woman is skews their views of what their mate should be like.  They see all this fantasy on the Internet, and by and large most sexual relationships within marriage are nothing like what is shown on the Internet or on Adult Television Channels, etc.  And, thus, when the mate does not meet the expectations set forth by the Internet, the person becomes disappointed, disenchanted, and disinterested and that can lead into an even worse problem - infidelity and/or divorce.
By that logic, 1950s shows are sinful because nobody's family can be that perfect. And scripted comedies are sinful because nobody's family is that funny. And so forth. You're making all of entertainment, by definition, bad. And that's a shame. There's no shortage of very bad stuff in the world. Violence. Disease. Starvation. Jacking off in front of the computer doesn't even register.

I don't know, I think Bushie has something of a point. Certainly pornography presents a fantasy; real sex has very little in common with pornographic sex, real relationships and interactions between males and females are very different from those in pornography, and real people look and act very differently from porn actors. I think the fact that Bushie recognizes and understands this is very mature and healthy. But as long as you recognize that pornography is just a fantasy, then I don't think there's anything wrong with watching it.
Recognizing that sex in real life isn't like porn is like recognizing that real fourth graders aren't like the kids in South Park. It's a bit of a no-brainer. And it doesn't mean that South Park is sinful because you then expect your children to be as perceptive as Stan and Kyle and will be disappointed when they are not.

So, fundies are caught in a self-fulfilling loop where porn is dangerous only to them because they won't talk about sex? I'm still not buying it.

Wait, Kenya 2013 is still on?  How will you do it assuming you get a job?

Low skilled hourly jobs are usually very flexible. It's one of the few perks that comes with a crap job. If you want a week off, just give your Big Box Mart manager some notice and he'll fix the schedule for you.

Have you made any attempts to get a job? I found out that the exemption from income tax on mortgage forgiveness was extended through 2013 as part of the fiscal cliff deal, so you should be in the clear on that count.
