If there is something to back this up (e.g. texts or a tape), it's the smoking gun tape all over again.

Cohen did tape Trump on multiple occasions, it seems odd he wouldn’t have recorded this interaction if it happened.

The dude better known as Individual 1 is again an unindicted co-conspirator. In 2020, he is literally running for his life due to the statutes of limitations. If he loses, there is increasing chance to ends up in a orange jumpsuit unless the new prez pardons him. If Trump is smart, he resigns a few days before the end and makes a deal with Pence.

Why would Pence agree to that in exchange for being president for a few days/hours?

If Trump wanted to do that he should resign now, since that way it’s still in Pence’s interest Cos he’s got 20 months to run for re-election. If Trump loses in 2020 Pence would be better off not agreeing to any kind of pardon deal in the lame duck period since he’d be a front runner for the GOP nomination in 2024 anyway.

US prosecutors reportedly subpoena Trump golf courses in Scotland, which some Democrats worry might have been funded by Russian money

Given that Alex Salmond has just been arrested in the UK (unrelated charges) I wonder if he’ll be able to shed some light on the relationship between the SNP and Trump and any resulting legal issues.
