My attempt to split each state into 2 parts, and put one senator incharge of each. That way you dont get both senators from one area and most of the state would be better represented

nice job. my only problem is NJ, seems like an r gerry.

With NJ I just tried to avoid going west or south. For some reason it crashes my computer if Trenton or Atlantic County is in view

Cuz it clearly annoys you

Nah I’m serious when I make these. It’s just that Solid Guy seems really overly high strung and can’t ever pick up on sarcasm and satire

That doesn't change the fact that you're a horrible mapmaker.

If a socialist is calling me that I must be doing something right

When a socialist says anything you should take it the opposite way.

“These maps are great and I should feel fantastic”

East: R+8
West: R+8

NYC/Nassau: D+25
Upstate/Suffolk: D+1

This is due to keeping NYC whole. I coulda put Suffolk in the NYC district but it doesn’t make much sense to stick the Bronx with upstate

This is an alternative arrangement for NV:
Las Vegas: D+13
Rest of Nevada: R+7

This is not really a good plan but it does show that it's possible to do it worse...

I like your NV better than mine. I wasnt able to follow the town lines since I always turn them off to keep my computer from crashing. I just took a guess since I like to keep cities whole but the city/county lines in NV arent much help

Oh come on, that NY map is blatantly illegal, you're not even trying.

Technically it is contiguous via Long Island Sound. But if someone could make a map exchanging Suffolk and Bronx with the balance of the population going to the upstate district from the Queens/Bronx bridge east to include Kings Point and Oyster Bay, I'll accept that one. My computer at home cant handle NYC on DRA though

9,622,907 live on LI, Manhattan, and SI.
9,755,195 live in Upstate NY+Bronx.
there are 66,144 required to be moved from Bronx to the Downstate seat. These are just going to be a rounding error in regards to PVI calculations.

I'm just gonna use your description for this. With the changes, The LI/Staten/Manhattan District would be around D+18, and the Bronx/Upstate would be D+3. That should be good enough to limit the influence of the bronx on upstate, and the map would look way better.

The New NY map. There is a small piece of the Southern Bronx cut out to balance off the population, and these are >D+35. So the new PVIs would most likely be D+18 downstate and D+3 upstate
