Charlie2020 I’m 100% on board, I’m tired of trump (though I support most of his positions)

Obviously Charlie Baker's "endorsement" of Jones had way more effect on Alabama than his money being funnelled through the RNC to Moore's campaign. I'm sure lots of Alabamians didn't make their final decision until they heard Charlie Baker's take on the race!
Like him or not, hes your governor for atleast the next 5 years

Wow, still feeling complacent about elections after Alabama?

Charlie has a 70% approval rating, is loved by republicans, democrats, and independents, and is not a pedophile

Assuming he wins by the margin you're expecting him to, he'll do better than that in the suburbs, and worse than that in the rural western towns. I don't see him winning Heath, for example. For the most part not entirely unrealistic though. I'm guessing you have Setti Warren as his opponent?

Yeah the Berkshire towns were kind of a crap shoot since I know nothing about them and I've never been there besides Lenox. But I did have Setti as the democrat nominee, so I had Newton more dem-leaning than Boston

Nothing funnier than Democrats in "super blue" states that have to live with an incredibly popular REPUBLICAN governor that pisses them off. Smiley

At least blue state voters aren't dumb enough to send a Republican to the Senate because of how supposedly "moderate", "populist" or "charismatic" they are.

It's interesting that Warren's approvals are relatively weak for a Massachusetts Democrat. I wonder if Hillary was president if we could've gotten some shock polls showing her only up single digits?

She's a senator, she ass hould naturally have a decent sized disapproval rating.

But why does she have a higher disapproval rating than either Trump or Romney's vote percentage in Massachusetts? If she can't even be overwhelmingly popular in an incredibly liberal state, her presidential candidacy would have some problems.
A lot of moderates, even those who voted for Hillary dislike her because of very progressive positions. I was talking with a family friend, who is very moderate, I think she voted for Hillary, begrudgingly, but strongly dislikes Warren and would "vote for a block of cheese against Warren."

Most of my family and friends still live in MA and probably half of them who voted for Hillary absolutely despise Warren and definitely wont vote for her next year. The Republican will probably take a good chunk of the independent/moderate vote but a lot of the Mass democrat base is very liberal and would still probably vote for Warren

Okay, A question.

If Baker and Warren were pitted against each other in a statewide race, who wins?

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Charlie. He’s moderate, most people like him, and he’s been a very good governor. Warren is hard left and is nowhere near as liked as Charlie. Plus she really hasn’t done anything good for the people of MA since she just screeches on the senate floor and travels the country. Plus there’s just something about her that makes her easy to dislike. Charlie just seems like the kind of guy you’d want as your neighbor
