I've never asked a store owner or business head if they were Muslim or not, I've never cared - and I've never assumed that because somebody appeared to be of arabian descent that they were a Muslim (which appears to be a common mistake these days).

Now, if I knew the profits on money I gave to a business establishment were being used for a purpose I disliked - that's a different question with a different answer.
