Al Gore won PA in 2000 Presidential election.

My answer is much more fun than that one (which was pretty much the easy way out)...

Hillary Clinton is running for the Democratic Nomination against Mike Gravel
Mike Gravel's name was in nomination to be George McGovern's running mate at the 1972 DNC.
George McGovern ran against Hubert Humphrey in 1968 for President.
Hubert Humphrey was VP under President Johnson.
President Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in 1964 for President.
