Sanders is the candidate most possible of producing a landslide victory. If Sanders could sweep the first Democratic primaries and be de facto nominee by March I could see him racking up 75 million votes and about 400  / about 58% in a two way race vrs. Trump.. He has a chance to shave 15pts off of Trump's white uneducated vote. He would keep 90-98% of Clinton voters whether they like it or not is beside the point. Third peg of the stool is if youth turnout and margin (Clinton only won voters under 35years by 56-39%, and a 37-37% tie among white under 35-s), the perfect constallation there sees under-35years turnout go up 10pts and Bernie getting 63-67% of that vote. With a little quick math here in the two-way race actually puts him around 60-61% of the vote.

In a situation where there are two right wing candidates on the ballot, not just Sanders but any Democrat who can get 53% of the vote has a chance to at minimum even if not running a good campaign win akin to Reagan 1980 level. With a good campaign and major shift in composition of the electorate one can get to dreaming about a 30point victory as the Democrats were with Carter in the middle summer 1976.  Carter almost lost that election lol.
