I'd say in order: Journalist, Teacher, PR Specialist, Salesman, or even a scientist.

What do you think?

A General would be a good President look at Dwight Eisenhower.

He was a great two term Governor who saved California from bankruptcy

I honestly expect a journalist turned President once in my lifetime. Out of all the occupations we've mentioned, that's likely to happen.

Doctor is the 2nd likely one to happen.

I can see a NASA engineer running. I think its bound to happen at some point.

A Minister. Woodrow Wilson was a Presbyterian Minister.

I'd like a President that used to be in Law Enforcement. We could always have another CIA Director as President(George Bush was the last one)

Anyone who was already famous before.

A talk show host (high-brow, not Maury or Jerry), a news anchor, a foreign affairs correspondent, a well-respected journalist, a humanitarian.

Obviously they'd have to have fame, money, and strong name recognition.  An actor may not do very well unless it was someone that was an American icon, popular with both parties-- Tom Hanks, John Wayne could have ran and won, Bob Hope could have definitely won easily.

Could you imagine a President Glenn Beck LOL  Wink
