I don't see what democrats would gain from it. It's not like he'd put the south in play. Regional bonuses are weak enough for presidential candidates. If he wins, it's because Moore was atrocious, not because he ran an especially good campaign. If democrats wanted a southern VP who can win elections under normal circumstances, John Bell Edwards would make more sense, but I see them picking from the northeast and west coast.
