The Socialist went down in a flame after the 1930's. I wonder why? I know a large deal of American history, but I can't figure out why.

Like Texasgurl said, FDR took up a large bulk of the Socialist vote in the 1930s, and most of them eventually moved over to the Dems. Then of course came the Cold War and the anti-leftist sentiment that went with it. I suppose that's the decline of America's Socialist movement in a nutshell.
