I am not religious, but it's at times like this that I do really hope that there is a hell so that people like Kenny Heslep can rot in it for eternity.

If a male Republican representative had potentially coerced a female staffer into this kind of sexual relationship, and he was contemplating suicide, Atlas would not be nearly this sympathetic.

Agreed. Many of the people on here are treating this woman as if she did no wrong. She is no longer a member of Congress because her actions were not entirely ethical, and would have been subject to further scrutiny by investigation (along with possible sanctions). Let's not forget the indiscretions she engaged in.

Are you seriously saying she doesn’t deserve sympathy for her suicidal tendencies and abuse at the hands of an ex because of uncorroborated allegations of an affair? You are sick, man.

Literally nobody here has patted her on the back about the affair, an allegation that remains unproven. You're also trying to strawman suicide... leave it to you to make such a callous and asinine comment. Great job on digging for that new low.

You who have been the defender of this woman from the very beginning and even asserted that she should rescind her resignation, are not exactly an impartial observer regarding this. I don't want anyone committing suicide, but this woman knew the consequences of her actions, and like a grown adult, could have abstained from these improper relationships. That would have spared her much of the harm.

You just made yourself look worse. Shut the computer off.

Again I don't remember any GOP avatar complaining or dissing Kander's depression or suicidal thoughts when he announced them even if blue avatars disagree with Kander.

Well we’re seeing them do it here... I wonder what factor that might be...
