That is disturbing.

I fail to see how many in the Democratic party tout her as one of the strongest candidates. I think she might do worse than Warren against Trump

LOL in your dreams.

What she did sucks but she's still a strong candidate and she has my full support.

Another reason I’m not voting for her. Something tells me she’ll come across as very unlikable.

I think she will end up being more unpopular than Clinton.

True, she really is how Trump gets a second term even with idiocy like this government shutdown.

You all are talking like you represent the electorate, or that you were ever going to even consider voting for her.

Also, still acting like Americans don't blame Trump and the GOP for the shutdown? Cute.

Parents are also charged in Pennsylvania for truancy. This just seems like a targeted attack on Harris.

Harris would be one of the few nominees who could lose and let Trump get 330+ EVs.

Watch that literally not happen.

deleted this is not going to be much of a deciding issue among most voters.

The only thing from her past that will really effect her is Mnuchin, but she can knock that out with a good answer at a debate.

I'm no supporter of Kamala Harris, and admittedly I just skimmed the article but I do think there is some sense in going after the parents of children that chronically miss school.  It doesn't seem to me like that's on par with the things going on at the border.

It's not a big deal at all. Almost every state charges parents for truancy. This is just a zoomed-in attack on Harris that's a big fat nothing-burger.

Just because every state does something doesn't make it right.

Still doesn't justify zooming in on Harris for following it. Honestly, nobody will care about this. It's normal.

The reason people are "zooming in" on Harris for this is because she is running for president. When you run for president, you ought to expect people to scrutinize your record. Democrats have a right to say they don't support this statist BS that apparently "almost every state" does, and adjust their opinions of Harris accordingly.

Attacking her on the standards isn't fair, and it reeks of desperation.

This actually makes me support her more. Parents are doing their children extreme harm by holding them out of school and they should be punished for doing so.
