"First of all, I would like to once again congratulate the brave rebels for overthrowing one of the most horrifying dictatorships in history.  I followed the revolution closely and admired the strength and endurance of the resilient fighters who fought for what they believed in: democracy.  What comes next, though, is the formation of a brand new government, which, under a Cuban presidency, the United States would be more than happy to assist with.  The current leader of the nation has voiced his support for the United States and intentions to

"Unlike my opponent, I have been paying special attention to the events unfolding in Iraq.  Such peaceful demonstrations cannot be ignored by the world nor suppressed by nations like Turkey that seek to exact control.  The United States has been the great promoter of democracy for decades, and we cannot lose this title.  As President, I would bring Iraq, Persia, Syria, Turkey, and Kurdish representatives to the table so as to organize a deal that will allow for the Kurds to make their voices heard.  They deserve to have the option of independence placed before them on the ballot.  I will not shy away from difficult situations like the President; I will confront them dead-on.

“The greatest way to continue this unprecedented growth is to enact policies designed to help the worker, the entrepreneur, and the business.  Experts agree that, except for the cut on corporate taxes, President Trump’s tax plan itself did not do much to cause this period of growth.  As President, I will govern in a fiscally responsible manner, cutting taxes for the hard-working men and women and ensuring that businesses are allowed to hired more workers than ever before.  The tax bill supported by the President did not do much; in fact, reports showed that both he and the tax plan did equally almost no amount of work.  I will be different.  I am a hands-on type of guy, someone who likes to speak with common Americans to discover what they need most.  Do you know what many of them say across the political spectrum?  Fewer taxes.  With my form of responsible fiscal policies, we will be able to drive the unemployment rate down even further, but this time, we know the new administration would have actually been responsible for making it happen.”

Well, one of the areas we need to tackle the most, fiscally speaking, is government spending.  Of course, we must lower taxes so as to help American families and businesses stay afloat to increase national productivity and the economy, but we also must cut down government spending.  Many departments spend hard-earned tax dollars on frivolous projects, resulting in either an increase in taxes or further debt.  As President, I will eliminate wasteful spending, which the current President has not seemed to care about, and make sure that departments can do what they need to do without adding to the debt.

This is most definitely the furthest thing from the truth.  I originally had floated the idea of being Vice President because I had originally believed that President Trump could do some good for the nation.  He promoted fiscal responsibility and tolerant social positions.  But the President, as he still does, attacks those who attack him instead of doing what he needs to do: focus on helping the American people.  I knew Donald for years and thought of him highly, but as the campaign drew on, I was glad to be as far away from it as possible.  I’m running for President because I want to get our nation back on track.  I want an America where citizens don’t have to wake up every day and wonder what inappropriate thing the President tweeted.  We all need an America with strong leadership, a President who likes to get down to it, is involved in policy talks, and truly wants to reform the nation.  This is why I am running for President, not because of some position that I never really wanted.

Campaign Kick-Off
July 10, 2019

"How're we doing today?  My fellow Americans, I think we can agree that the time is right for change.  For the past two-and-a-half years, President Trump has embarrassed us on the world stage.  Leaders respect us less and trade deals are crumbling.  He has polarized the electorate like never before, and he has refused to uphold his promises to the American people.  He chooses to fight with others in a petty manner on Twitter and attack underdeveloped nations.  We cannot take four more years of this.  And that is why I, Mark Cuban, am running for President of the United States as a member of the Republican Party.

The Republican Party needs a rebranding if it is to win elections again.  We must rid the party of the President's influence and move forward to better the economy.  We must legislate by protecting individual freedoms, pursuing free-trade deals, and promoting economic and infrastructural development.  This is the party we need, and this is why I am running.  I am against the current party leadership because it has proven ineffective at stopping the President's dangerous policies.  Let us join together in really taking on the establishment and giving the people of the United States a new voice.  Thank you!  Let's do this!"

"Within the first week of my presidency, I will push for ANTIFA to be designated a terrorist organization.  I have always promised to take threats of terrorism seriously, both foreign and domestic.  The President has not.  ISIS is virtually destroyed, thanks to the work of our military and allies, but President Trump has shown his resistance to condemning and taking seriously the threat of domestic extremism.  After the Charlottesville rally in 2017, in which an extremist brutally murdered a protester, the President refused to appropriately condemn the extremists in question because they wore his hat.  All foreign and domestic extremism, in whatever form it appears, must be condemned."

"First, I would like to say that Senator John McCain has dedicated his life to this country, and I think I speak for all Americans when I say, "Thank you for your service."  In regards to the election, I do hope that the Republican nominee is someone who wants to move the party forward, someone who believes in civil rights and economic freedom.  We can't have a candidate like Joe Arpaio who was convicted of violating civil rights; we need a candidate who will raise the GOP's image in Arizona and across the nation.  There are many prospective candidates like that, and I hope to see one of them being nominated and becoming senator."

"It is no secret that the Republican Party has its divides.  However, we must come together on common messaging.  This party has always valued economic freedom, of which I have lived my life by and will emphasize in a way to not only unify the party but attract new voters wary of the Democratic Party's leftward tilt.  The GOP also has moderate and libertarian branches that promote individual freedoms.  I will invite these members to come along with my campaign as well to modernize the Republican Party and push for moderation in social policies and environmentally aware policies.  I always look to find common ground and certainly won't stop now."

"Yes, people have taken advantage of my generosity in the past, and I am upset that I fell for their tricks.  I did learn, though, from my errors and have reformed my ways, becoming a much more successful businessman and leader in the process.  As President, I will act as I have for many years now to avoid scams: examine the deal carefully, consult experts, consider all available options, and act accordingly.  However, I will say this: I will never offer the American people a bad deal.  Before the President was inaugurated in January of 2017, he made promise after promise to the American people.  He created a deal and sold it to the American people, promising to be an active leader and change our nation.  He has shown no leadership skills whatsoever, leaving Congress to have to pick up his jobs as well.  He ruined his deal with the American people and scammed them.  I offer a different deal, one that I will not break: I will be the leader that America deserves on both the national and world stages."

Closing Statements
[/quote]

"On this debate stage, there are two options: leadership or cowardice.  The President of the United States, the greatest country in the world, hides when threatened by others.  He refuses to accept basic facts if they do not hep advance his cause and has divided America over petty fights.  I, however, never hide myself behind a phone.  I stand and fight for what I believe in.  As President, I will continue this level of national growth accomplished by leaders in Congress and will always fight for you, the American people."
